McLeish keen on Nigel Quashie

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish will make a decision over whether to sign Nigel Quashie on loan in the 'coming weeks'.

Midfielder Quashie, who is contracted to West Ham United but is out of favour at Upton Park, is currently training with the Birmingham squad.

McLeish concedes the 30-year-old's fitness needs improving, but has confirmed he is strongly considering bringing him to St Andrews on a short-term basis.
